Hanneke Treffers
Hanneke Treffers is an Amsterdam based artist and designer, trained as a photographer but best known for her marvellous mixed media works. Her technique is reminiscent of street art overlaying images from the past and present, hiding social comment behind a veil of faux nostalgia.
Her latest exhibition is still on for a few days at The Phone Booth Gallery in Long Beach CA and some of her most recent works are even more sumptuous having been set in rather elaborate antique frames.
