Etchpop Needs Your Dough!
Have you heard of Etchpop? You should have, they’ve been featured just about everywhere, and with good reason. I’m sure most of us would agree that a custom woodblock cutting service would be a godsend. But right now there is still a chance they won’t launch, and that’s where you can help.
They’re planning to offer custom made laser etched woodblock prints, which not only look awesome but could save you a small fortune on printing costs. If you’ve ever carved out your own woodblock for printing you’ll know just how long and how tricky they are to make. I looked up laser etched woodblock printing in the UK and there are very few companies who offer anything like this, and I doubt they could match Etchpop’s prices. Fingers crossed they inspire something similar this side of the pond soon.
Etchpop are currently featured at Kickstarter, a start-up site that crowdsources funding for new and innovative companies by offering special deals for each and every investor. Right now there’s 15 days left on the clock, they’re over two thirds on their way to their $10K target and here’s what those who have put money where their mouth is can expect in return for their support.
$2 – a hand printed thank you card.
$10 – a golden ticket to their kick off party. (If you live near Portland OR).
$25 – one 4″ x 6″ Etchpop woodblock.
$45 – two 4″ x 6″ Etchpop woodblocks.
$50 – an Etchblock kit including 4″ x 6″ woodblock, ink and roller.
$80 – one 8″ x 10″ woodblock.
$175 – one 11″ x 17″ woodblock.
